Barbie turned 50 yesterday.I missed posting earlier because I spent nearly all day on the couch, feeling awful. Hubby came home at noon to take care of the girls and me.
Anyway, in a day when so many people talk of Barbie's "negative impact" on girls, I wanted to celebrate her "birthday."
Even in my own state, a delegate has proposed a bill to actually ban sales of Barbie here because she doesn't provide a positive role model. (However, he has no problem with the Brats dolls??? Being a man, he probably has no idea that there have been Teacher Barbies, Doctor Barbies, Veterinarian Barbies... you name it.)
